Trickle Up is an international company developed to provide small amounts of money, combined with basic business training, directly to the poorest of the poor to help them start a microenterprise. Reports from Trickle Up’s fiscal year (Sept. 1, 2003 to Aug. 31, 2004) show that 60 percent of the businesses formed by Trickle Up entrepreneurs were women-led.
